The Abbey
A downloadable game for Windows
Welcome to The Abbey
Alexei has been hired by the abbey to protect it, but his job takes a difficult turn when dangerous creatures appear to threaten it.
In this short story, you will choose how to deal with the threat, as well as helping the abbey-folk with their problems and even finding love, if you're lucky!
We're a small team of friends, and we could really use your feedback if you find any bugs or other problems. Please let us know how we can improve in the comments, and we'll do our best to respond to every issue you have. - Zach
This game does not have a save feature, but it can be completed very quickly, in a single brief session. There are a few different outcomes available for some of the storylines, so feel free to try it a few times to see everything.

Really well done! Art, music, writing, all excellent. Despite the game being short, the world felt real with real characters inhabiting it, and had me curious as to how things would turn out. Choices felt meaningful as well. My only minor complaints would be QoL, like a save feature and a button to skip through previously read dialogue (I did just one playthrough). Great work from the team--I really enjoyed this!
A few comments on the dev side and possible spoilers below:
This might be a my computer problem, but wanted to note it just in case. Oddly, the words on the main menu were sliced in half horizontally so I could see only the top half of each word, except Quit, which was fine.
Also, I came upon a...quirk? After getting the message after dealing with P, I went back to the blue captain (I'm so sorry, I just can't remember the names) to see if he'd say anything new, but he again asked me if I were ready to face P.
Finally, though brief, I really felt that Al and V had some history--it was great. I would have liked at least a little more from Tira, and thought she gave up her father pretty quickly. That may be in line with her character, but we know so little about her that she doesn't feel as authentic as some of the others. Just a nitpick, though! ^_^ She and Al are cute together.
What a wonderful comment. I shared it on our Patron Discord server and it boosted many moods. Thank you so much!
You've found some bugs that I wasn't aware of, thank you for that as well.
I'm honored and grateful that you took the time to play the game and write out your thoughts. Again, thank you.
